Attorney and Non-Classified positions are exempt from the State Personnel System.
Employment with the Department of Law is contingent upon passing a thorough background check. In addition, attorneys seeking employment must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or clearly eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar and be in good standing. Attorneys applying for employment at the Department of Law may not have disciplinary action by any bar to which you are admitted to practice.
