WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Salesforce Developer/Administrator will support the ongoing development and administration of the Salesforce platform at the Colorado Department of Law (DOL). This position will work in collaboration with the Lead Salesforce Administrator to improve existing Salesforce processes while driving adoption using the Salesforce platform. This position will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce platform.

The successful candidate will participate in system implementation, maintenance, support of Salesforce and integrated systems, configuration, development, testing, documentation, and user support for CRM applications.  While Salesforce is currently used by the Division of Community Engagement and the Consumer Protection Section, this position will support ongoing development and deployment of enterprise-wide solutions throughout the Department of Law.

This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions in the Department of Law.

Salary note: Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
 
Must meet one of the following combinations of education/experience to meet the qualifications: 

  • bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field and
  • One year of professional experience as a Salesforce developer/administrator. This experience must include at least 4 of the following:
    • Experience with Salesforce user management
    • Creating and maintaining custom dashboards and reports in Salesforce
    • Testing and implementing Salesforce seasonal releases
    • Experience creating and managing sandboxes in Salesforce
    • Experience creating workflow rules, process builders, and flows as configurable solutions in Salesforce
    • Experience using Lightning web components, VisualForce, and/or Apex (Minimum Qualifications)

OR

  • a master’s degree from an accredited institution in in information technology, information systems, computer science, or directly related field may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis. (Substitution)

OR

  • Two years/60 semester hours of college coursework from an accredited institution and
  • Salesforce certifications in the Developer, Architect or Administrator track (you must attach copies of your certifications if you will be utilizing this substitution) and
  • One year of professional experience as a Salesforce developer/administrator. This experience must include at least 4 of the following:
    • Experience with Salesforce user management
    • Creating and maintaining custom dashboards and reports in Salesforce
    • Testing and implementing Salesforce seasonal releases
    • Experience creating and managing sandboxes in Salesforce
    • Experience creating workflow rules, process builders, and flows as configurable solutions in Salesforce
    • Experience using Lightning web components, VisualForce, and/or Apex (Substitution)

OR

  • Five (5) years of professional experience as a Salesforce developer/administrator. This experience must include at least 4 of the following:
    • Experience with Salesforce user management
    • Creating and maintaining custom dashboards and reports in Salesforce
    • Testing and implementing Salesforce seasonal releases
    • Experience creating and managing sandboxes in Salesforce
    • Experience creating workflow rules, process builders, and flows as configurable solutions in Salesforce
    • Experience using Lightning web components, VisualForce, and/or Apex (Substitution)

Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications, if you possess any of the following specifically include the details on your application, as this information will be used to assess your qualifications and may be used to determine a top group of applicants.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Salesforce architecture, configuration and code, and business process analysis, user requirements, and user needs, testing and documentation
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations
  • Experience administering and developing Salesforce Communities
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience beyond the required 1 year as a Salesforce developer/administrator
  • Experience working in a role as a technical liaison between IT and non-technical customers
  • Experience developing trainings, including the ability to develop training material and technical documentation
  • Experience working in a non-profit or government agency
  • Additional Certifications in Salesforce
  • Experience as a business analyst or similar role that required gathering requirements and developing a technical solution
  • Extensive experience in developing Force.com (Apex, VisualForce and Lightning)
  • Experience designing and building web and mobile interface on the Force.com platform
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and managing installed packages and components, such as Adobe E-Signature, Conga Composer, and document management solutions, such as Box.com

Conditions of Employment:

  • Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.
  • Effective August 15, 2022, this position will require documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
