Program Information
The Student Loan Equity Act (SLEA) is a state law that regulates companies that service student loans owed by Colorado residents.
The Colorado Attorney General’s Office, through the Administrator of the Colorado Student Loan Equity Act, investigates complaints about student loan servicers and takes appropriate disciplinary or legal action when a servicer has violated the law. This office cannot give legal advice nor can we represent individual consumers in actions against student loan servicers.
