Student Loan Servicers

The Colorado Student Loan Servicers Act Rules were published in the Colorado Register on October 25th. Please see the right sidebar for the Permanent Rules.

Student Loan Servicers Act

The Student Loan Servicers Act (SLSA) is a state law that regulates companies that service student loans owed by Colorado residents.

The Colorado Attorney General’s Office, through the Administrator of the Colorado Student Loan Servicers Act, investigates complaints about student loan servicers and takes appropriate disciplinary or legal action when a servicer has violated the law. This office cannot give legal advice nor can we represent individual consumers in actions against student loan servicers.

  • The Administrator’s first Annual Report is available here.
  • The Administrator’s second Annual Report is available here.
