Attorney General Phil Weiser announces additional No-Knock and Forced Entry Study Group meetings

Oct. 12, 2021 (DENVER)—On Sept. 7, 2021, Attorney General Phil Weiser announced the formal convening and first meeting of the No-Knock and Forced Entry Study Group.

The following additional study group meetings have been scheduled:

  • 10-11:30 a.m. Oct. 15, 2021
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Oct. 29, 2021
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 12, 2021
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Dec. 3, 2021
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Dec. 10, 2021

The study group was established by House Bill 21-1250, C.R.S. § 24-31-114, to study and survey the use of no-knock entry warrants and forced entry by law enforcement personnel and develop recommendations for potential legislation.

This release serves as the official public notice for the Oct. 15, 2021, study group meeting in compliance with the Colorado Open Meetings Law, C.R.S. §§ 24-6-401, 402. The meeting will be held from 10- 11:30 a.m.
