Mar. 14, 2019 (DENVER, Colo.) — Today, Attorney General Phil Weiser announced that the State of Colorado is joining a multistate lawsuit challenging two federal government rules that would significantly reduce women’s access to birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Michigan and Nevada joined Colorado in moving to intervene in the case, which is pending in federal district court in California. Thirteen other plaintiff states and the District of Colombia have already joined California in this case.
Mar. 14, 2019 (DENVER, Colo.) — A Denver District Court judge today ordered the owners of Denver Custom Food Trucks to pay $4.5 million dollars to resolve a case in which they took thousands of dollars from clients to build custom food trucks that were either never delivered or equipped with unsafe, fraudulent parts.

Mar. 14, 2019 (DENVER, Colo.) — Attorney General Phil Weiser today gave his strong support to a pair of bills designed by House Judiciary Committee leadership to reform Colorado’s bail system.
In testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Weiser said that the main purpose of bail is to ensure defendants appear in court and to protect the public safety while defendants await trial. Bail is not, Weiser explained, designed to serve as a pre-trial jail sentence.
