DENVER—Today Solicitor General Frederick R. Yarger accepted the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) “Best Brief Award” at the organization’s 2018 summer conference in Portland, Oregon. This is the third time the Attorney General’s Office has received this award during Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman’s tenure; before then, the office had never won a Best Brief Award. The award honors the best United States Supreme Court briefs authored by attorneys general offices around the country.

DENVER—Colorado Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman announced today that the Colorado Court of Appeals, in two published decisions, affirmed the 2016 trial verdict and judgments in excess of $1 million against foreclosure law firms Robert J. Hopp & Associates and The Hopp Law Firm, their affiliated title companies, and Robert J. Hopp personally.

A joint Colorado and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigation called “Operation White Whale” obtained cocaine-dealing indictments against 16 people, seized 134 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of more than $5.3 million and confiscated another $1.2 million in cash, authorities say.
