Coffman and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey are leading a bi-partisan effort urging U.S. Congressional leadership to vote against HR 3299 (“Protecting Consumers’ Access to Credit Act of 2017”) and HR 4439 (“Modernizing Credit Opportunities Act”). The coalition of 20 attorneys general sent a letter to leadership in the U.S.
AG Coffman proposed seven big agenda items in her final legislative session, all of which were passed and signed by the Governor.

DENVER—Today Solicitor General Frederick R. Yarger accepted the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) “Best Brief Award” at the organization’s 2018 summer conference in Portland, Oregon. This is the third time the Attorney General’s Office has received this award during Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman’s tenure; before then, the office had never won a Best Brief Award. The award honors the best United States Supreme Court briefs authored by attorneys general offices around the country.
