This position is open only to Colorado state residents.

The Information Technology Unit provides user-friendly, reliable, office automation, and information management so that the department can represent the client agencies and the State of Colorado in legal matters as competently and economically as possible.  The Unit provides design, programming, implementation, training, and technical assistance in all phases of the automated systems operated by the department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The SharePoint Developer designs and develops business needs in the SharePoint environment. This position confers with stakeholders and IT management to analyze needs and create plans to develop, debug, test and deploy SharePoint solutions. Job duties include:

  • Administers all aspects of the Colorado Office of the Attorney General’s SharePoint environment
  • Develops SharePoint workflows and document processing tools
    • Meets with end users to understand business process
    • Makes recommendations for the methodology that will best meet end users’ business needs
    • Works with IT staff to create best practice for business implemented through SharePoint, making sure security and privacy concerns are addressed
    • Troubleshoots workflow errors and content display problems
    • Researches and implements new features in the SharePoint environment
    • Provides end user support for SharePoint functionality
  • Meets with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, researches reporting capabilities in SharePoint, and creates views and workflows to help manage data retention policies
  • Works with users in business units to create web content
  • Develops and documents SharePoint workflows including custom workflows in SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Apps, and Nintex
    • Works with stakeholders to design and develop workflows that meet business requirements
    • Develops work plan to implement new workflows in SharePoint following office wide standards for implementations

Salary note: Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Salary will be paid on a biweekly basis.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications: Please document all relevant experience in detail on your application. Experience will not be inferred or assumed. Any part-time experience listed will be prorated. 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field and
  • At least two years of professional SharePoint development and administration experience as the main function of your job.

OR

  • Six years of professional SharePoint development and administration work experience as the main function of your job

OR

  • A master’s degree from an accredited institution in information technology, information systems, computer science OR SharePoint certificates AND one year of SharePoint development and administration work experience as the main function of your job

Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications, if you possess any of the following specifically include the details on your application, as this information will be used to assess your qualifications and may be used to determine a top group of applicants.

  • Recent SharePoint development experience using Nintex Workflow and Nintex Forms
  • Recent SharePoint development experience using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience administering Microsoft Office 365 (O365)
  • Experience administering SharePoint Online and SharePoint On Prem implementations
  • Experience working with and administering MS SQL Server
  • Experience with database design and data structures
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.Net, PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Government Agencies
  • Experience with Business Analysis and Process design
  • Experienced in webpage maintenance and design
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers
  • Project management experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work collaboratively on a dynamic team and work with other diverse teams with varying needs

Required Competencies:

  • Requires proficiency with MS Office 365 suite of applications

Conditions of Employment:
