Find a rewarding career making a difference: Join the Office of the Attorney General!
The Revenue & Regulatory Law Section is seeking an attorney to join its dynamic and collaborative legal team. This is an opportunity to litigate and provide general counsel legal services in challenging areas of law that frequently present novel legal questions. Attorneys in the Section address a wide variety of interesting and complex issues. The selected attorney will handle a diverse caseload of significant administrative, licensure, and disciplinary actions, primarily for the Mobile Home Park Oversight Program (MHOP) in the Department of Local Affairs and will assist in ensuring fairness in housing and protecting against abuses. A primary function of MHOP is investigating complaints on landlord-tenant issues in mobile home parks, including issues related to evictions, water outages, and utility and infrastructure repairs. Among other things, this attorney will represent MHOP before the Office of Administrative Courts and other venues in defending agency determinations. This attorney will also serve as general counsel for MHOP, and will guide the client in rulemaking, respond to legal questions from the program, and advise on the legal impact of legislation. If you are interested in this work and want to be a part of a great team and gain experience before the Office of Administrative Courts, Colorado district courts, as well as appellate representation, this position is for you!
Applications for this position will be reviewed on a rolling basis and interviews may be conducted prior to the job closing. We encourage you submit your application early if possible.
