WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position serves as the constituent services Program Assistant to the Attorney General and the AGâs Executive Assistant. This includes working with constituents to explore and assist them in determining options to help resolve conflicts, problematic issues, or concerns; gathering information about internal and external resources and referrals; and developing and analyzing options available to the constituents to bring systemic concerns to the attention of the organization for resolution. The position assists the Attorney General and AGâs Executive Assistant to determine how best to respond to constituent inquiries and draft appropriate responses for their review and approval.
Additionally, this position assists with staffing the Attorney General at events and meeting with constituents, including preparing briefings for the Attorney General in advance of the events, tracking and notetaking constituent concerns that arise at events as well as follow up after events. Assisting the AGâs Executive Assistant with scheduling, technical set up, and greeting visitors meeting with the AG.
Job duties include:

Serve as primary contact for constituent inquiries via phone, email, web form, and in-person events; research and provide resources, referrals, and follow-up.

Track and analyze constituent issues, identifying trends and elevating them to leadership as needed.

Assist with staffing the Attorney General at events, including preparing briefings, managing schedules, coordinating travel, and following up on constituent concerns.

Support administrative functions such as scheduling, meeting setup (virtual and in-person), technical support, and greeting visitors.

Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports to support the Attorney Generalâs priorities.

Assist with planning and implementing special projects, events, and outreach efforts.

Travel in-state as needed, including some overnight and weekend trips.
This is a term-limited position that is expected to last until December 2026 but may be adjusted based on the business needs of the office.Salary note: Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT I
Minimum Qualifications and Substitutions:Â Please document all relevant experience in detail on your application. Experience will not be inferred or assumed. Any part-time experience listed will be prorated.
Experience Only: Four years of administrative or program support experience which includes interacting with customers and providing services in a professional office setting.
OR
Education and Experience:A combination of related education and administrative or program support experience which includes interacting with customers and providing services in a professional office setting.
If qualifying with Education, you will be required to provide a copy of your transcripts.
Note: Candidates possessing a foreign degree must submit a translation (evaluation) of their degree from an accredited institution, such as The National Association of Credential Evaluations Services in order to be given credit for the degree.

Conditions of Employment:
- Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.
- Colorado Department of Law participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
- Travel in-state as needed, including some overnight and weekend trips. This position will need to drive for AG events and will require a valid CO driver’s license as they will be required to drive fleet vehicles.
- This position may offer flexible work arrangements but will require this position to work on-site the majority of the time.
