Attorney General Phil Weiser adds Chief Innovation Officer to leadership team
First of its kind role will strengthen community engagement and team performance
Jan. 17, 2019 (DENVER, Colo.) — Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has selected Lisa Neal-Graves to serve on his leadership team as the Colorado Department of Law’s Chief Innovation Officer. Neal-Graves is the first person in the nation to serve in such a role in an Attorney General’s office. This constitutes another pioneering first for Colorado.
Establishing this new role is the first step in advancing Weiser’s vision of creating a 21st Century law department. In her role, Neal-Graves will bring people together, establish new processes, and spearhead technology solutions to help attorneys and staff create a more efficient, effective, and equitable justice system for all Coloradans.

Neal-Graves has a proven track record of leading high-impact organizational change. Before joining the Attorney General’s office, she was vice president of the Cloud Strategic Product Group at Zayo Group. Additionally, she held a number of leadership positions at Intel Corporation including Director of Technology Insights, and Group Counsel for IT and Procurement. Neal-Graves has also served in senior positions at Unisys, Serviceware, Chase Business Services, Deloitte Consulting, and AT&T Corporation. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Parker Performing Arts School, the Board of Directors of the Colorado Council of Black Nurses, and on the Board of Advisors for Harper DB in Denver.
Neal-Graves is a former law student of Weiser’s, earning her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, Boulder, Colo. She also earned an M.E. in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado, Boulder; an M.S. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in Lansing, Mich.; and a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Hampton University, Hampton, Va.
