Become an Attorney with the Office of the Attorney General

Attorney positions are exempt from overtime and the state personnel system. Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the Attorney General.

Employment with the Department of Law/Office of the Attorney General is contingent upon passing a thorough background and employment check, being in good standing with the Bar of the State of Colorado, and not having disciplinary action by any other bar to which you are admitted to practice law.

To apply for attorney positions, please click on a position link below for further instructions.  When applying, your cover letter should indicate your bar status in Colorado as well as any specific areas of law you are particularly interested in, or in which you have special expertise or training.
