The Colorado Uniform Consumer Credit Code (“UCCC”) is a state law that regulates the terms and conditions of consumer credit in the state of Colorado. This includes nonbank lenders, such as supervised lenders, retail sellers, finance companies, installment lenders, second mortgage companies, and rent-to-own companies.
UCCC Renewal Information
UCCC renewals are now available. Renewals must be completed via the Licensing portal by the Licensing/Renewals contact or another designated contact. Please use the Renewal Checklist documents in conjunction with completing the renewal. Renewal fee information is available within the Checklist documents and in the portal under Payment Information. Forms and templates are available in the Portal under Resources.
Once the renewal is submitted, it will be sent for electronic signature to the person or persons listed to sign. Please ensure the renewal information provided is accurate before electronically signing. The document for electronic signature serves as your copy of the renewal and can be downloaded. The renewal is not considered submitted and will not be processed until electronically signed.
Renewals for Supervised Lenders
Renewals are now available for supervised lenders with a current license. Please review the Renewal Information and Checklist before beginning the renewal. Renewals must be submitted by July 1 and there is no grace period.
Supervised Lender Annual Report
In addition to the renewal, those companies that maintained a Supervised Lender license in 2023 are required to submit their 2023 Annual Report by June 1. The Annual Report forms are available for download within the Licensing portal and must completed and submitted via the portal. Please use the Instructions in completing the Annual Reports.
Renewals for Notification Filers
Renewals are now available for retail sales, sales finance, and rent-to-own companies with a current notification. Please review the Renewal Information and Checklist before beginning the renewal. Renewals must be submitted by July 1 and there is no grace period.

The above license and notification filings (once issued) are valid through each July 1 regardless of the date issued and must be renewed annually. See the above information for important dates for supervised lenders and notification filers.
Although a license or notification expiration date may reflect the prior 7/1, the existing license shall not expire (so long as a renewal is submitted) until the renewal application has been finally acted upon by the agency, pursuant to section 24-4-104(7), C.R.S.
